"I have experienced the personalised care and attention that Thangam Hospital delivers for over a decade now, and I have found the quality of doctors to be exceptional. The couple of times that I underwent surgical procedures too, I found that the flexibility of the hospital staff when it comes to either offering their assistance, or accommodating your needs, is outstanding. All this combined with modern, integrated medical infrastructure makes Thangam the obvious go to place for me, when it comes to healthcare.”
Keeping in mind that I had a history of Cholestoral, I was naturally a bit concerned when I noticed that I had started developing fluctuations in BP and Sugar, and was experiencing palpitations while climbing stairs. I then met with Dr. Jayakumar, Senior Cardiologist at Thangam Hospital who conducted detailed investigations and put me very much at ease with his gentle re-assurances. He took his time elaborating on my symptoms, the test results, his diagnosis as well as the road to recovery including medication prescribed.
What made the entire experience even more pleasant for me, was the speed with which various procedures like registration, medical tests, bill-payments, paperwork and patient discharge were coordinated and dispensed with.
The first time I was taken to Thangam Hospital, I had been suffering a severe bout of food-poisoning and suddenly dropped unconscious at 2 am. The speed and efficiency with which the casualty staff responded when the ambulance pulled up is commendable. Every single person present was ready to go the extra mile if it meant the patient or their families could be made to feel more comfortable.
Since then I have always chosen to meet with the doctors here and not once have I been disappointed.
Most recently for instance I was diagnosed with acute tonsillitis when I met with Dr. Ranjith who heads up the ENT Department at Thangam. I was admitted on the spot and given excellent medical attention, eradicating any chances of ending up with pneumonia.
I can strongly recommend this hospital to everyone.
Our 2 year old son, Prajvin, was brought to Thangam Hospital’s casualty in an extremely critical state. He was unconscious, had severe breathing difficulties and needed emergency ventilation. As per the advice of our extended family, we began preparations to transfer the child to a facility in Thrissur or Coimbatore for “better treatment”, despite the multiple difficulties that this task posed.
The whole time however, we remained hopeful, in the face of the attention that our child received from doctors and paramedical staff alike. He was rushed to the ICU with no time to waste and ventilated. 72 hours later, he was no longer the desperately ill boy we had rushed here in an ambulance; he had improved remarkably – he was better than normal!
Unlike several other hospitals, Thangam doesn’t shunt its patients to higher centres (almost all of them located a good distance away from Palakkad) unless absolutely necessary. This in itself, we believe, is an indication of the confidence that the doctors and staff have, with regards to the work they do here. No words can explain the miracle that we witnessed in this hospital, and every time we try, we only find ourselves short of words to express our gratitude.
